FEM POWER Vision
Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg (MLU) project “Empowering female scientists - changing scientific culture - adapting structures”

FEM is a project funded by the European Union and the state of Saxony-Anhalt as part of the state-wide FEM POWER Saxony-Anhalt program.

The FEM POWER project at Martin Luther University is committed to achieving greater gender equality in academia in line with its 2018 mission statement on equality. Targeted measures such as mentoring, career development and networking are used to strengthen female academics, break down structural barriers and integrate gender aspects into research and teaching. With its four modules, the FemPower project at MLU aims to create a sustainable and equitable academic culture. The project is coordinated by the Diversity and Equal Opportunities Office. The project is headed by the Rector, Prof. Dr. Becker.
The FEM POWER project focuses on cross-institutional networking that promotes regular hybrid network meetings and exchanges between coordinators. Synergies are bundled, current equality issues are discussed and practice-oriented (advisory) formats are developed. In cooperation with lakog    and coordinated by the KGC   , a state-wide network is being created that strengthens the visibility of female scientists and increases gender sensitivity in Saxony-Anhalt. Events such as the bukof annual conference    and state-wide conferences contribute to greater acceptance of gender equality and diversity work.
